Netflix Reveals Exact Episodes That Hook the Audience

One might watch Netflix to see its original productions like Orange Is the New Black. Or one might even watch Netflix to check out older shows like Gossip Girl. But the majority of us do both, and quite often, too. However, when you find the right series, Netflix becomes extremely addicting. The convenience of the countdown to the next episode of a show has definitely resulted in the dedication of days, weeks, and even months to more series than many of us would like to admit.

Due to a recent study from Netflix, we can retrace our steps back to our binge-watching of one episode in particular (a.k.a. the one that got us hooked). Interestingly, Netflix found that 70 percent of the people who made it to the “hooked episode” found it impossible to not complete season one, or in this case, five more. In a recent study that Netflix conducted, it was found that the below shows had an exact episode that hooked viewers:

Arrow, Episode 8

Bates Motel, Episode 2

Better Call Saul, Episode 4

Bloodline, Episode 4

BoJack Horseman, Episode 5

Breaking Bad, Episode 2

Dexter, Episode 3

Gossip Girl, Episode 3

Grace & Frankie, Episode 4

House of Cards, Episode 3

How I Met Your Mother, Episode 8

Mad Men, Episode 6

Marco Polo, Episode 3

Marvel’s Daredevil, Episode 5

Once Upon a Time, Episode 6

Orange Is the New Black, Episode 3

Pretty Little Liars, Episode 4

Scandal, Episode 2

Sense8, Episode 3

Sons of Anarchy, Episode 2

Suits, Episode 2

The Blacklist, Episode 6

The Killing, Episode 2

The Walking Dead, Episode 2

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Episode 4

Being a busy teen myself, I generally use my Sundays to catch up on any unfinished homework that was not finished Friday night after school. But when I’m not playing catch up, you can bet I’m in my bed binge-watching my favorite series on Netflix. Although watching TV for several hours may be unhealthy for people of all ages, I believe that it is in fact healthy to have some quality alone time with yourself. Especially for teens, binge-watching a Netflix original can be a sense of relaxation. Whether you’ve had a long, tiring week of school or work, Netflix allows you to escape all the stress in the world and take a load of weight off of one’s shoulders.
